Christmas Carols Anyone?

Miss Piper is a Christmas music-a-holic, every store we go into, everytime we get to Caribou coffee..she justs starts swaying. Bing Crosby seems to be her crooner of choice! Sometimes she even tries to sing along! This picture was taken at our Realtors Christmas party where she got to meet Santa...and she loved him!

My party dress...how cute am I! On Saturday we had a litte get together, nothing fancy, just a few friends and some of our neighbors. Uncle Matt and Auntie Rachel bought tonnes of great food and an awesome cake..I didn't get any cake, I kept asking but noone would hand it over! Well...at least I got to wear my cool dress

I couldn't help it...I just needed a picture of Piper in her Chinese dress...she decided that posing wasn't in the cards today so a quick shot of her escaping was all I managed! More pics later!

I should have listened to mummy!

I guess she was serious when she told me not to shake the bottle!

Hello Possums!

For those of you who have heard of Dame Edna Everage, Australias Royal Comedian...Piper is doing her best impression! The Cheerios accesories would make Sir Elton proud of her goggle creation! Talk about flair!

Snowsuits aren't popular around here!

Piper detests her snowsuit! Even though it's the softest one I could find she is highly unimpressed with Mummy and that horrid contraption! Sadly, Minnesota weather has us using it on a daily basis. Did someone say New Zealand next winter??

We tried a new device out this week...our friend Paul in South Carolina sent it to us as he knows we'd get a kick out of it...and Piper might enjoy it too! She really loves it and spends about 15 minutes in it a day rocking out and bouncing like a maniac...baby x-games watch out!

Piper really enjoyed spending time with Nana Pam and David. She took them to her favourite bread store to try out all the yummy flavors. Piper particularly likes the holiday cranberry and wild rice bread...she thought David might enjoy it too!

Olive and Piper are firm friends. When Piper takes a bath at night, Olive loves to sneak in the bathroom to watch. When a toy floats out of reach, Olive will gently nudge it back towards Piper...of course Olive also thinks its fun to lick all the soap off her back, but we try not to let her do that too much! Piper thinks it's the best time ever...until Mummy or Daddy try to take her out of the bath, then someone plays a slightly different tune!

I thought it might be nice to add a few more pics of Piper. We especially like the ones where Olive is trying to help in the bath, and changing a diaper...

Here's a picture of Piper's first day home in MN! Uncle Matt met us at the airport and we all went out for lunch! Piper did really well in her carseat and became a Virginia Tech fan under Uncle Matts direction...and cap! We really have been lucky so far, Piper is doing great and coping with all the changes well.

Wow! It's December already? We have been home for just over two weeks and loving every minute of it. The first few nights were crazy! Trying to help Piper adjust to the time change and her new surroundings was a challenge. By day four we had her in a routine...yay! Piper is a creature of habit, she sleeps from 7.30pm to 7.30am and takes a lovely 2 hour nap in the daytime. Mummy is very proud of her!

We have also made leaps and bounds in a lot of other areas; Piper had never tried solid food so we started her off on pureed pears, apples, carrots etc...once she got the hang of that she started munching on all other available foods...she even enjoyed a mashed version of Thanksgiving dinner...minus the gravy! Now she is eating pretty much everything she can get her hands on...with eight teeth nothing is too much for this little foodie.

Nana Pam and David visited us on thanksgiving which was fun...Piper decided to shock us all and said 'Nana' for the first time. She really loves her new Grandparents and enjoyed spending the weekend with them.

One thing we have learnt is that our little girl is a social butterfly, at her happiest when surrounded by throngs of people, grownups and kids alike. Spending all day at home with Mummy can be pretty boring so we make sure we hit the coffee shop and Target a couple of times a week to spice things up.

In the New Year we will be looking for a music class, kindermusik or music together for Piper to attend, she loves music of all kinds.
