MADE IN CHINA - WHY?

Do you really want to give your kids apple juice that was made in China? Well, this brand, which is probably the most recognizable American juice is actually a product of China. My kids drink very little juice, but when they do it's organic pressed or fresh pressed from a local orchard. If we cannot source a local supply of juice, the girls dont drink it...simple as that. Anyway, juice is a treat, water is always the first and best option, but I just find it sad that all over this country kids are drinking Chinese made apple juice and quite frankly that doesn't bode well with my 'local and sustainable' mantra.(not to mention my concern with food safety) It's just been surprising me lately how little parents seem to actually know about where the food and drink their kids put into their bodies comes from?

We do not drink juice at our house (H2O all the way, baby!), so I had no idea about this Juicy Juice...good to know!!

hmmm. the only juice e consumes is called "fruitables". i will have to check where it comes from ,because honestly i never dreamed it would be from another country. mostly she gets OJ, (like you, water is the first choice), but since she has to drink so much in a day (kidney health) we give her more choices. it's bad enough we're constantly saying, 'finish your drink' a gazillion and 2 times.

We're 90% water 7% organic milk and 3% juice usually organic. I will be sure they never get that one. I never would have thought juice and china together. Just blows your mind.

way to break the habit early. it was tough to break teens of the juice habit (not to mention my love of orange juice) but we haven't had a drop of juice in the house for a year and a half!

i find it interesting companies try to make *low glycemic* juices when really, it would just be easier for people to cut them out! and I find it more interesting/disturbing that they are shipped all the way from china..hmm.

Is there a place where you can find out where products are made? I would have never thought about juice being made in China...hmmmm...we don't drink much juice around here, but it would be nice to know. Thanks for the heads up!
