SCARY SANTA!
Two weeks ago we visited Santa at the Macy's Store downtown...they have a wonderful display each year and this year the theme was Santa's Workshop. We got the Snowflowers dressed in their winter finery and headed off on our little expedition. Piper was completely stoked by the fact she would be meeting the big guy in red, Paisley...um...not so much. We enjoyed the 'workshop' and ended up in line to meet 'Santa' who was frankly kinda scary and pretty gruff with the kids. I think that Macy's need a new Santa next year...Piper was pretty sure he wasn't the 'real' Santa...Paisley was absolutely sure of it, even bunny was skeptical. Next week we'll try a different Santa...I hear the honest to goodness Santa Claus is at one of the local Malls. We'll see. I don't think this will work on the Christmas card this year. Whats the deal with the gardening gloves anyhow? This is Macy's people, the Cadillac of Santa's...oh Macy's, how you have let your standards fall.

Glad to read this since we are hitting the Santa's Workshop display on the 12th, and I was thinking of incorporating a trip to Santa. I think we'll do it some evening at Southdale instead!

Despite the ordeal, the girls look adorable. Looking forward to Friday night...

QQ and I were at the mall yesterday (after the weekend crowds had got their fill....it was a ghost town on Monday!) and we passed by the Santa village twice. I seriously thought about it, and even approached the velvet rope (there was no line, since nobody at the mall) but chickened out at the last second. But...see our blog for Sinterklaas photos. QQ was not impressed.

Paisely can obviously smell a fraud from a mile away.

Oh no! Poor Paisley. We tried to find Hanukkah Harry but got a groping gruff santa outselves.

ha ha. Katie and Abbey want no part of Santa. I'm ok with that. Abbey did announce the other day that santa brings presents. lol. I don't know where she learned that....

Purple gloves? LMAO!!!! What happened? Poor Paisley, she is terrifed. She knew he was a fake because of the gloves.

Hi I check in on your blog once in a while since we are just north of you, up in Lino Lakes. Anyway, I always thought Macy's Santa was a creep. I have always had luck with the Maplewood Mall Santa and they usually have a pretty back drop. Good Luck.

B thinks Piper has gotten taller since we saw her. He said "How come Piper looks bigger?"

Makana looked like Paisley 2 years ago, last year she stood for it but was happy to leave, this year she was happy to chat with Santa! It is always fun to look back and see the screaming pic! They are adorable.
