disenchanted
I'm not cut out for the suburbs.
My reality is I feel like I've been invited to a party, but when I get there it's an NRA convention, and I'm the only one wearing an Obama tshirt.

Oh boy! I think you'd better come back to VT. Lots of peace signs and Obama stickers in my neck of the woods:)

My brother just got back from Maine and said there was not ONE McCain sticker. But Maine's taxes are OFF the charts and no one can afford to live there either.

I guess I would understand if you were 24, recently graduating from a liberal college and such. But for an adult with children and a decent income you cant really feel the politics of the democratic party are the best for your family? If you really feel that way, sign over the rest of your paycheck to me.
We already give away nearly half of what we earn in taxes and what does that get us? A horrible school system, a welfare system that pays you to have more babies and stay home, and record high energy prices. Thank you Mr. Clinton for eight years of blocking alternative fuels and drilling in the ANWR, the increase in welfare spending, and of course the lack of focus on education.
I miss being able to argue politics with you.

Darn, and I was hoping for a comment throwdown about politics, heh.

I commented to your hubby the other day that you just don't seem like people who live in __________ (insert name of your suburb). And I meant that in the nicest possible sense...

Move to Mpls! I just made Willa a shirt that says "McCain makes me spit up." You're welcome here!

I don't think any normal person really is, unless heavily medicated. ;)

You are so funny Hayley. Don't worry sister, I'll have my Obama shirt on right beside you. Remember I am from NY...(lol). You are way too spicy for MN girlfriend. You need to come on up to NY.

Hugs,
Jonni

Hmmm... not sure which suburb you're in ... but ours (far East, across the river, in the other state known for cheese) there are LOTS of Obama signs. In fact, I haven't even seen a McCain sign!
