NEW ROOF
Yesterday the skip arrived. Tomorrow the roofers will come and tear off the old green shingles marred over the years by hailstorm upon hailstorm. By the weekend we will have a safe, environmentally friendly roof above our heads to protect us against the elements. Hmm...perhaps that's a metaphor for something? or perhaps we're just getting a new roof.

Just tell them to be careful throwing the debris down. We had ours done a few months ago and they tore two window screens. Enjoy all the banging overhead!!
That is never a cheap job.
Good luck with your new roof! Try to get out of the house while they bang away up there...we had to leave our place just to get away from all the noise.

Awesome! Nothing like a new roof. It always makes the house look so nice. We are going to need one pretty soon too. Too bad they are so darn expensive!
