a glimpse into her world
This world is small...it's tiny, especially when you use the Internet; and while there are some undesirable things about the big wild world online we reap some of it's finest virtues. Families from around the globe who are adopting have become close friends. We are able to meet up with others who have adopted from the same orphanages as our own children, share information, photos and stories, and maybe a rare glimpse of our own children waiting in the same orphanage! We have in fact become part of an international family of families!
My reason for this post is that I have met a new family recently. When we found out where Paisley was I joined the online community of parents with children from the same place. It is amazing to go through the files and see photos of the buildings and the Nannies who care for our little girl. This particular family had also recently joined the group, and they leave for China tomorrow! They are going to get their new daughter, who is also named Lu Zi (in pinyin it is the same, but in fact her symbol is different)...they are going to ask about Paisley and maybe be allowed to take some video or photos of her for us! It's not for sure, you never know what the Directors will allow, but it might be the only update of Paisley we receive in the next few months.
We are so grateful for their efforts, but I also wanted to wish them a safe flight and a wonderful trip to China, to their new daughter!
the photo above was taken by a family in May 2007 at Yifeng SWI. It is not Paisley, but it is a child who we all hope has found her forever family

I love the connections that are made in this adoption world- amazing. Hope they are able to bring back a glimpse of Paisley for you! :O)
Cool! Here's praying for some video!! That would be a nice Christmas gift!OX
Hi there. Hope this is encouraging-I sponsor two children through Half the Sky (a five y/o girl and a three y/o boy). Last year, an adoptive family was able to ask about my little guy and take some pictures. Priceless. Hope the same happens for you :)
I'm glad you have that connection! More pictures would be wonderful for you!
thats is great, I hope you get an update!
Oh Hayley, I hope your inbox is filled with pictures of your little one soon!! Besides actually meeting them, there is no greater gift to a waiting parent!!
Isn't it wonderful to make new friends who you may have never met?
Hugs,
Jonni
How cool would that be? I hope you get to see more of Paisley soon!
