BAD BLOGGER

Yeah yeah, I know, I've been remiss...but I promise updates soon. We were gone for almost two weeks in Denver over the Holidays and have been home a week tomorrow...a WEEK already? Holy Cow Batman! Denver was FAB.U.LOUS...seeing family and friends was awesome and the girls, well they had the time of their lives!

The road trip out there was a bit sketchy, we ran into an ice storm in Des Moines and ended up staying the night there instead of our original destination...sunny Omaha, Nebraska! Let's just say...my new slogan for Nebraska is..."NEBRASKA...why?"...it is in my humble opinion one of those places on the planet that just seems, how do I say it?....FREAKING AWFUL! It's like South Dakota on steroids...hello boringville!

Before we left, we had what we hobbits call 'first Christmas', the girls got to unwrap their presents from all the other grandparents and some from Mummy & Daddy...including a pretty awesome dollshouse! We made the trip more bearable by purchasing a set of DVD screens for the back of the headrest...I suggest this as a survival tactic for anyone even considering a road trip longer than 8 hours...without those, and Starbucks, I'm not sure we all would have made it!

In Denver we stayed with Nana and Papa, and Great Grandma Maxwell, the girls loved spending time with the grandparents! We also got to visit with some of our awesome bloggy friends and their adorable kids...Jen, Maia, Christie, and Tiffany..awesome people, awesome friends!! Piper fell in love with Jen's son Ben, I think Ben might have a little crush on Piper too, but I'm pretty sure he still thinks all girls have cooties.

The girls were thoroughly SPOILT...yes SPOILT with a CAPITAL 'SP'!

They hit paydirt on '1st Christmas' with a dollshouse and all the trimmings, then at '2nd Christmas'...well, Santa clearly forgot his sanity pills and overloaded the little munchkins with goodies.

I did end up getting the red Terrain stroller while we were out in Denver, and since we were so close to the lovely folks at the Mountain Buggy Distributors in Fort Collins we took it up for a bit of a service and a new set of treads...oh, and while we were there we just happened to visit one of Mike's favorite breweries...home of Fat Tire...the New Belgium Brewery! I don't like beer, but I caved and tried three of their 'lighter' beers, and I was pleasantly surprised...yum! Paisley however, managed to receive her first 'beer related injury' thanks to a run in with a storage vat in the Brewery...not even two and already acting like it's Spring Break!
