Yifeng SWI

I know my posts are all over the place, but I promised a group of families who just received referrals from Yifeng that I would post pictures of our visit to the Orphanage. Here is the childrens wing, there are several buildings on site, the largest is an old folks home, the central building is the Orphanage. It is my understanding that many of the children are in foster care, leaving less than a dozen children (at the time of our visit) in the actual Orphanage complex. Below is one of the main rooms, the small room at the end houses 6-8 cribs. A TV, but no toys, and no sign of use.

the old folks home seemed to have quite a few occupants, but you couldnt tell from this picture. Below is the central courtyard with a backdrop of the mountains.

Once inside, we were shown two rooms with about six cribs in each, the Director showed us several of the children who were going to be adopted to the USA in the next few months. We understand that 13 families had referrals from Yifeng in the last batch, so many of those children are in foster care, but here are a few cuties who will be making their way to their new families in the coming weeks.

the second room of cribs, this also had a bed for the Ayi, and fewer cribs, perhaps it is for the babies under 6 months old, the older ones seemed to be in the first room.

One of our CCAI guides 'Karen' with one of the beautiful babies.

The solitary 'Ayi' we saw on the premises, perhaps there were more carers, but it seemed like it was just her and the two directors.

The newest arrival, a little girl, just a few days old.
