the reason I remained calm

well, not 'calm' in the truest sense of the word, but this is the only thing that helped keep me sane during that last week in China. Shaiman Island has a Starbucks...and boy it was my Utopia! I have to say my twice daily visits to the glorious mint palace of java was...divine in the truest sense of the word.
Believe me, this wasn't your ardinary run of the mill corner java hut either, it had the most wonderful Australasian pastries, sausage rolls and turnovers to die for...thank you mega corporation for corrupting the tranquil island and inserting your brand name and addictive lattes, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
If you are in process or will be travelling to China to adopt, be thankful, this place is a delight!
