You know, my hubs and I have been concerned for Sen Obama's safety for a long time now. It's hideous, and very very sad; but this country still has so much racism left in it.
If this was the party I supported I would be so disturbed that I would switch my vote. I don't know how anyone could back candidatas that don't stand up against racism - that means telling those who support them to stop making racist comments.
That was amazing, and I applaud Keith Olbermann for having the cajones for saying this. He is absolutely right, and McCain needs to take responsibility for the panic and hatred his campaign is causing. Shame on McCain and Palin.
We think about and pray for Obama's safety all the time. This behavior from the two "Mavericks" is just frightening and should not be excused. Thanks for posting this.
If by a “liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “liberal.”

Such a powerful speech; I hope beyond hope that people are able to cast aside politics and react to the humanity/morality.
I could just kiss Keith for that!

Keith is my new celebrity boyfriend...
Doesn't McCain have an adopted daughter from India. How sad for her!
Racism here is rampant. It needs to stop and not permeate the next generation. Hopefully, by the year 3000 most of it will be gone.

God, I love his "special comments"!

Someone shut that old man up! He can't stop lying....
I'm confused. Is "Joe the Plumber" the same drunk "Joe Six-Pack" who Palin loves to talk about?
