A sad day for Minneapolis...
We are so saddened by the tragic events of today's bridge collapse here in Minneapolis, the 35W bridge is a main thoroughfare through the city and is frequented by many people we know. After a volley of phone calls to make sure everyone was okay, we found out that one of our very close friends was on 35W on his way to cross that very bridge just moments after it collapsed. A few minutes earlier and it may have turned out worse for him. Still, there are many families grieving tonight and we are praying for them all. We are beside ourselves that our friend is okay, and griefstricken for those who lost friends, husbands, wives, sons & daughters in this catastrophic disaster.

We are glad you and your family are fine, I was thinking of you today when I heard about the tradegy. Stay safe and enjoy your trip.
I came to your site hoping that none of your friends or family were involed in this tragedy. Praying for your community.
Mike was just asking me last night if you guys had said anything about the bridge. We have family and friends in Minnesota and had heard pretty early.
Lucky your friend - what a relief for you guys! It's a tragic thing. We have heard from all but one of our friends and family so far.
Hayley, thanks for posting!! I was so worried about you all last night! I'm thankful you are all OK, but, like you am terribly saddened for so many families. Our prayers are with all of you in MN!
HUGS...

Hayley,
I didn't realize that is where you are. Isn't that a terrible thing. My sister and her husband had just crossed the bridge less than two hours earlier. While we mourn for all the loss there, we are praising God that our loved ones are safe.

Hayley,
I am so glad to hear that you guys and your friend are okay. You were the 1st person I thought of this morning when I heard the horrible news.
