Happy Birthday Daddy!

It's Mike's 33rd birthday this week, but unfortunately he'll be away in Florida at the 'annual sales meeting' so we wont be able to have a proper celebration. Instead, Piper & I decided he needed an extra special early birthday party! We gave him his presents after swimming lessons, a 'flight of the conchords' t-shirt and CD, and Stephen Colberts new book! He also got the first series of 'flight of the conchords' on DVD but Amazon said it wont be here until the 8th! If you haven't heard of or seen the Flight of the Conchords...they have a series on HBO and are from New Zealand...we love them! Mike had to wear the tshirt straight away!

How better to celebrate a pre-birthday than with a chocolate cake with Lindt truffles? Serve that up with a really smashing stuffed pizza from Papa Murphy's and you have quite the feast!

Our friends Matt & Rachel and their dog Saully came over for a bite to eat and to relax with us on this chilly Saturday...we love spending time with them! Piper adores them and we always have a good laugh!

Olive & Saully got on really well, and after romping in the back yard for an hour they took a nice rest together in Ollie's crate.

Happy birthday to Mike! You cake looks yummy, and love the shirt.

Is Ollie the spaniel or the schnauzer? We have an Ollie too (but a boy spaniel). He loves his crate (we have to tell him to come out of it sometimes) and the best thing in the world is another dog JOINING him in it.
